The 7C's Part Three
Create Your Own (R)Evolution
Before we dive into the practical strategies, let’s pause and confront an unavoidable truth: if you want to excel in business, you must be willing to evolve.
This often means doing things differently, which, after all, is the Purple Pirate way (Purple Pirates, the community of The Business Buddy Library)! When doing something differently, we mean something other than how you’ve done them before. In fact, what you need isn’t just an evolution—it’s a personal revolution. Or, as I prefer to call it, your own (R)Evolution. Why? Because every revolution you spark in your business is actually the engine of your evolution as both a leader and a visionary.
Change is the only constant in business and in life. Everything is in a state of flux—markets, technology, customer expectations, even your own ambitions. The universe is built on change. Get used to it. Work with it, not against it.
“Change: everything is changing all the time; it’s just how the universe works. Get used to it, work with it, not against it!”
To grow a business, you must fully embrace change. If you resist, you risk stagnation—and stagnation is the silent killer of potential. History is littered with businesses that failed not because they lacked talent or ideas, but because they clung to the status quo while the world moved on. If you don’t recognise and adapt to change, you’ll be left behind as new innovators and alternative solutions sweep past, eroding all the hard work you’ve put in.
I’m not advocating change for its own sake, or jumping on every new trend just because it’s new. Instead, I’m urging you to recognise that change is inevitable. As a Purple Pirate entrepreneur, your job is to constantly scan the horizon and anticipate what’s coming, not just for your business but for your industry and your customers. Expect change to arrive—often faster than you’d like.
Here’s what I want for you: not just to read about (R)Evolution, but to join us and build your own. The bracketed ‘R’ is intentional—this is both a revolution and an evolution. If you take the coaching and advice in this series or, better still, the book, and if you join the ‘Business Buddy Library, you’ll experience a genuine revolution in your business. As the program takes effect, you—and your business—will evolve.
Your journey, your growth, your (R)Evolution will be unique. Embrace this opportunity to develop and transform your business for the better. Are you ready to create a business of real value? One that delivers exceptional, sustainable results?
If you’re serious about your business, I want you to take the leap. The Business Buddy Library isn’t for the half-hearted; it’s for those ready to challenge themselves and build something lasting. That’s the inspiration behind this series and book.
To make this journey logical, practical, and easy to follow, I’ve structured the book around seven core elements—the 7C’s of Why. Each element stands alone and delivers value in its own right, but together, they form a powerful roadmap for change. You’ll get the most from them by following the order and joining the community, but feel free to dip into the chapters or modules that speak most to your current needs.
You can gain a real advantage from simply reading the book, but to unlock the full value, join our community and participate in the mentoring and support that are part of the Business Buddy Library. This is a program designed for results—designed for you, my fellow Purple Pirate!
These are the 7C’s of Why—seven critical areas where you can create space for change, spark a revolution in your business, and drive your evolution toward exceptional, sustainable results:
Cadence – Why Mindset & Culture are the keys to success.
Clarity – Why strong foundations set the scene for your business forever.
Communication – Why Marketing, Sales & Brand are the basis of revenue generation.
Control – Why Strategy & Leadership separate the mediocre from the exceptional.
Cash – Why understanding the language of money is crucial for success.
Construction – Why creating scale is like building a machine.
Collaboration – Why team selection can build castles or a house of cards.
At first glance, these may seem like standard business topics. But when you approach them with the right mindset, and blend them with the other principles we’ll discuss, you’ll create your own (R)Evolution. You’ll transform how you think about and run your business—accelerating your growth, creating more satisfaction, and spreading that positivity to those around you.
Throughout the book and the entire program, my mission is to ignite your imagination and equip you with practical tools for innovation. I want you to build your own remarkable business machine—one designed to accelerate your growth, generate outstanding results, and ultimately, make you happier. And when you’re happier, everyone around you benefits. What’s not to like?
You might be wondering: how long will this transformation take? The truth is, learning and growth are lifelong journeys. But if you follow the 7C’s and commit to the program, you’ll start to feel the difference within just 90 working days—days spent actively working on your business, not just in it. In 180 days, you’ll see tangible, measurable progress.
No matter your business’s size or stage, mindset and strong foundations are the starting points. They are the epicentre of your (R)Evolution. Whenever you feel your mindset wavering, revisit these chapters and, if you’re a Business Buddy Library member, lean into this part of the program. Mindset is so vital, you’ll find it woven throughout the book—deliberately and necessarily.
After mindset, your next priority is generating a steady flow of quality opportunities and communicating your value to your target market. Sales don’t happen without marketing, and growth doesn’t happen without sales. That’s why these topics are front and centre.
With marketing, sales, and brand development in place, your business is primed for growth. Next, we’ll focus on leadership, strategy, and financial control—key levers for driving your business forward. Once your business is stable and well-positioned, we’ll turn to scaling up: building the systems and teams needed to create a business that works for you, not the other way around.
Team selection is critical. The right team can help you build castles; the wrong one can leave you with a house of cards. Get this right, and you’ll multiply your results.
Each of these changes alone can move the needle for your business. Together, they create a (R)Evolution—and that’s exactly what I want for you, my trusty Purple Pirates committed to good mischief in the world of business!
